What it involves
The foundation is the first reinforced-concrete structure: it takes all the building's loads and transfers them into the ground. At SPL Group we build foundations sized from the geotechnical survey: isolated and strip footings, reinforced slabs, and, where the soil demands it, deep foundations with piling or caissons. Every solution is calculated from the bearing capacity of the ground, the expected loads and the founding depth, not from a one-size-fits-all rule.
Our work covers setting out, excavation and bottom cleaning, placing ribbed steel reinforcement to the drawings, formwork, pouring structural concrete and vibrating and curing it correctly. The foundation is the phase that governs everything built after it: if the base fails, the building fails. That is why we hand over a level foundation with starter bars left for columns and walls, ready to begin the structure.

It depends on the ground. Using the plot's geotechnical survey we determine the solution: footings when the soil is firm and shallow, a reinforced slab when loads are high or the ground is soft, and deep foundations with piles when we need to bear on stronger strata. We size it to the case, never with a generic criterion.
